Then Jesus stepped in by Hope Douce U.
Have you ever been in a situation where you feel like God is no longer by your side? or sometimes doubt his mercy and ability to change what you are going through? That moment when your prayers seem to not cross your roof.
At the wedding at Cana, He already knew that the drinks weren’t enough, but waited until they went short of wines. That’s when He turned water into wine.
10th verse of John 2 tells us the second wine was the best ….. “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink, but you have saved the best till now.”
This shows us that once God steps in, that’s when the best comes out.
I’m quite sure that each one of you has gone through these kinds of days, but the good news is, God was, God is, and God will always be.
There have never been days so dark and hopeless as those of Lazarus when Martha and Mary didn’t understand why Jesus didn’t visit his friend even at his very last breath.
So the sisters sent word to Jesus, “Lord, the one you love is sick.”
When he heard this, Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.” Once Jesus stepped in miracles happened. Because Jesus himself said in verse 4
“This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.”
If God could have visited Lazarus when He was sick, He surely would have healed him, but that wouldn’t be a big story to preach. He waited and did something greater. He resurrected him.
Jairus was told by some messengers that her daughter had already died and there was no reason to bother the master, we also hear different voices restricting us from telling Jesus, mostly when we feel like there is not a thing to be done in our situations. The most pleasant thing is, “Jesus paid no attention to what they said, but told him,’ don’t be afraid, only believe’. Arriving at Jairus’s house Jesus asked them why they were crying, and told them the child was only sleeping. A story found in Mark 5
When God seems to play deaf to us, when He seems not to answer your prayers, when He seems to be so far away, doubt not He is preparing something greater, to you and to others for his name to be Glorified.
